Valentine's Day gift guide

Hi everyone!

So, Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and I have decided to put together a small gift guide featuring small businesses that I have found online. During 2020, many people lost their jobs and started small business to bring in an income. I think its super important to support as many small businesses as you can, as you are essentially paying a portion of their child’s school fees or you’re even potentially putting a plate of food on their table.

This is a short list of businesses that I have either personally ordered from them, or simply think that their items are fabulous. Don’t forget to send your boyfriend or girlfriend this post if you see something you like!

 1. P4Purpose

This is an online jewelry company. They specialize in stainless steel jewelry that is gold-plated. The jewelry is water-resistant, hypoallergenic and non-tarnish. I first came across them in December of 2020, when I saw an ad for a necklace that says, “She Prays”. I was instantly drawn to the page and purchased the necklace from them. The lady behind the business is wonderful to talk to, and extremely appreciative. I actually have another necklace coming via courier from them today! The pieces are stunning and incredibly good quality, and I will continue to purchase from them.

2. Bows for Boo

This is a crochet business run by a lovely lady! She specializes in crocheted bows on hair ties, keychains and other various items. I recently placed an order with her for newborn items, as a family member just had a baby, and I was so incredibly pleased with the items. She was genuinely excited to make the items I had ordered and continuously updated me during the process!

 3. Recollection

This is something that is super special if you have just celebrated a milestone with your loved one. Recollection specializes in displaying memories that you have made with your special someone! You can use co-ordinates, dates, and times to make a poster that shows the day you said, “I do”, when you met, or when you said: “I love you”. The options are endless, and it is something that would look beautiful hung up.

 4. Melt Co.

If you guys know me, you would know that I have a sweet tooth, and that this post would mention at least one food company. Melt Co is a company that specializes in sweet treats for birthdays, anniversaries, and other gifting occasions. For Valentine’s Day, Melt Co has multiple variety boxes that you can choose from. I have personally ordered from them before, and I can with confidence say that the treats are to die for! They are, however, based in Durban, so if you are not from Durban, just DM me and I can help you find someone closer to you.

 5. Skinny Colour Cosmetics

Skinny Colour Cosmetics is brand new and launched in 2020! They offer multiple face products, including; glow drops, glow mists, lip glazes and their newest products, matte liquid lipsticks. I love the minimalist packaging, and the fact that they showcase their products on all skin types, and all races. We love inclusivity!

 6. Sky Floaters

When it comes to Valentine’s Day, balloons are a must! Spoil your loved one with a beautiful statement balloon from Sky Floaters! They specialize in bubble balloons that are customized to your preference, as well as balloon arches and set ups if you want to make things even more special! Highly recommend them.

 7. Shop Brett Robson

Shop Brett Robson is an amazing company that specializes in clothing and accessories. They are always releasing new on trend clothes that are high quality and very affordable. I have personally purchased from them, and I am extremely happy with my items. I have around 5 pieces of clothing from them. For reference, I am a UK16, and in bottoms an XL fits well, and tops between an XL, and 2XL (if I want a slightly oversized look). Recently I am loving their gym wear, especially the ruche top and the mesh leggings, the linen jumpsuit, and the side tie tee in latte, with the matching shorts!

 8. Knotted Kotton

This is a lovely company that makes personalized sleepwear! They have satin robes that you can print your name on, as well as slippers, and eye masks. The items are absolutely adorable and makes the perfect gift for your loved one.

 9. Lakota Inspirations

This company makes workout clothes that look incredibly comfy! But that’s not even the best part, they have sizes that go all the way to 5XL! As someone who is midsize, I sometimes struggle to find brands that make clothes that fit me, so I am eternally grateful for small businesses who happily cater for all body shapes! I love their spirited full leggings, the water bottle, as well as the non-respirator masks, which come in a variety of prints!

I hope that you guys have enjoyed my little gift guide for Valentine’s Day, please note that anything that I have from any of these brands, were purchased by myself personally, and that this post is not sponsored by anyone! Please continue to support small businesses in any way possible!

Don’t forget that I am running a small giveaway on my Instagram for the virtual Valentine’s Day concert that’s featuring Rahat Fateh Ali Khan! Giveaway ends this Friday, and is super easy to enter!
