A Dyme in the rough

Image
Hey everyone! Monday is over and we're one day closer to the weekend! Aren't you guys excited? In preparation for the weekend, your girl got her nails done (trying to pretend that she actually has somewhere to go – LOL). Last week I was contacted by  Dyme  beauty app and offered a treatment in exchange of a review on them. I gladly accepted. Here is a breakdown of the process I followed to get my appointment booked: Step 1:  Download the app It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. Search for: Dyme Beauty App Step 2:  Register All you do is create an account for yourself and the app is ready to use Step 3:  Choose your treatments They offer a wide range of treatments including nails, make-up, massages and lashes Step 4:  Check out Once you have added all your treatments to your cart you can check out. This includes adding in your address, appointment time and choosing a therapist from a list of those available wit...

10 day skin challenge

Hey guys, so I’m sure you guys have been seeing me post nonstop for the past 9 days post about skincare products that I have received from Dr. Naidoo. I have been testing out things nonstop and having such a ball doing so! I have been posting lots of information about each product so I’m not going to bore you guys with medical terms and benefits about these products so I’m just going to give you an overview of everything! My skin is feeling healthy and looking fab! Bio medical cleanser: This cleanser is really lovely, it leaves your face feeling soft and cleansed well. However, I’m happy with my current cleanser, but I am not opposed to using this in the future. I am keeping this cleanser for my trip to cape town at the end of the year, because it’s really good and is travel friendly. Helio care: gel spf, dry touch: I tried two sunblock’s and this is my favorite of the two. I have dry skin and it works really well for me. is Eye cream: This eye cream is r...

Goodbye razor, hello laser!

Hi guys, so I know I have been away for a while, but I have a really good reason! My charger for my laptop stopped working, so I couldn’t use my laptop for a while. However, I have a new charger and I’m back! This post is long overdue, but rather late, because it actually gave me a good amount of time to review my treatment. A few weeks ago, Alisha from Simply Laser on Lilian Ngoyi Road, Durban, contacted me and invited me to come in for a free session. I was able to choose what area I wanted lasered and when I wanted it done. I told her that I wanted to do my underarms and that I was going to come in on the 27 th of July. Normally, you shave before your appointment but she had asked me not to as she wanted to explain the whole process to me. When I arrived, I was greeted by Alisha and taken into a treatment room. She started showing me the star of the show, the Soprano Ice Platinum laser machine. She then spoke to me about the process and told me that I was guaranteed...

Acrylic VS Gel Polish

I absolutely love getting my nails done, It is one of my favorite things ever, because I’m totally free from any stress and it’s the much needed ‘me time’ we all crave. However, the one stress that manages to creep its way into my mind while I’m being pampered, is whether I should get acrylic or gel polish done. It’s virtually impossible to find time to paint your nails quickly when you need to go somewhere, because of how busy our lives are. That’s why it’s so much better to have them done, because not only will you be done in under an hour, but also, they will last very long without chipping. Gel polish: This is great for maintaining your nails. If you personally want your nails short, or whatever length you like, but still need them to look fab, this is the way to go! It is a great way to maintain the strength of your nails and the length. Your nails are also more flexible with gel polish than acrylic. The process is started by the nail tech prepping your nail...
